Bullying Policy
Australian Friendship Circle has a zero tolerance policy to bullying!
Friendship circle works with children and vulnerable people with a range of disability. Our programmes are run by a small team of paid staff and a large number of volunteers. Our volunteers span a large age range, come from different backgrounds, have different strengths and weaknesses and often have different world views.
Australian Friendship Circle has a zero tolerance policy to bullying and harassment between participants, volunteers and staff.
All staff and volunteers should feel comfortable to speak to a coordinator or one of the directors if they are ever made to feel uncomfortable whist at one of our programmes or by someone else. Australian Friendship Circle will do all it can to support that individual and to investigate what has happened.
If a volunteer involved with Friendship Circle is found to be bullying someone else whether participant, fellow volunteer or staff member, this will result in dismissal.
